These are a bit old, but I still wanted to post them. Some of you may remember Jacey's first experience with eating vegetables. If you never saw those pictures, you can see them here. There are a few similarities as well as differences. I wanted to make sure I documented Jaclyn's first time too, because Jacey's ended up being so entertaining. We gave her butternut squash and she did NOT like it! She still actually doesn't like vegetables, we struggle with getting them down. Jacey ended up getting over it quickly and ate tons. Every child's different I guess. Well, enjoy watching us torture our daughter!!! :D
those are so hilarious. I have a similar theme on my blog. Your pictures always look so good though. My first two kids loved their veggies...not Carter though. She still looks so cute...even with her sour lemon face.
Oh my gosh Em...your kids are the greatest ever!! I pee my pants with Jacey and then Jaclyn...soooo funny! They really don't like that first try of veggies hey? So awesome that you got those! Loved it!
Hahahaha Emily I'm so glad you posted those. I'm at the library right now just taking a break from studying for 3 more finals (kill me!) and I pulled up these pictures and just laughed SO hard out loud. I didn't realize how loud I was laughing because I have head phones on... but I had 2 people move close and look over my shoulder to see what I was laughing at. Those are hysterical! Soo funny! I'm glad you got pictures of that traumatic experience!
HI Emily, I looked at Jacey's again, but I think Jaclyn's takes the cake! She looks so sweet at the beginning, and then totally grossed out at the end - the tongue hanging out is just superb!!! The only one of mine (so far) that has made any kind of yuck face is Logan when I first tried him on banana (he actually spat it and went yuck!). I have tried Sierra a few times, but she is not fussed (she was 7 months yesterday), she would much rather have her booby-juice!! Ken and I just laughed and laughed at Jaclyn's faces though - keep up the great photos!! Love Belinda
PS try mixing the butternut with pear (sounds gross, but it actually tastes not too bad) I did this with Mitch (now 18.5) and he is a great veggie eater!! Belinda xx
